How To Conform Slow Heart Beats In The Fetus?

Hey on tue, went for an ultrasound( tummy 1) to see what date i was as i had been given 3 different dates so far, i was supposed to b 8 weeks , but the 3 doctors couldn t get any heartbeat, the pregnancy measured 7 weeks 4 days. when I was 6 weeks along I had an internal scan and it showed heartbeat , was told to go home and wait for a week and call if I have any bleeding, and if not they will take me in next tue for a d& c , I m just wondering could they of missed the heartbeat on the tummy scan, my bladder was empty when they done it it was a new machine and was first time they used the tummy scan on me , yesterday I noticed my leukorrhea had increased as well, I have accepted that I prob will have to have a d&c next week but I want to know if there is a reason for me to have a bit of hope

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion usually by 6 weeks the fetal heart beat is seen on abdominal scan. There might be no chance for missing it because it is the indicator of life of fetus.New machine won't affect it.If doubtful Transvaginal scan can be done for confirmation.
