How To Clean Out A Scab?

I got a rope burn from tubing at the lake. I got home 3 days later and finally cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide and covered it with a bandaid. Now it s staring to scab over but it looks a little yellow in the inside of the scab on my finger. It s not oozing or still bleeding. The scab on my elbow looks dirty. And I can t clean it out. Is the yellow scab ok? And how do you clean out a scab?

Hi.
As per your case history of scab, my treatment advice is -
1. Avoid applying soap or antiseptic lotion like Dettol on scab.
2. Use only plain water and betadine solution to clean the scab.
3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
