How To Ascertain That I Do Not Have HIV?
I had unprotected sex vaginal sex with an unknown partner. I had an HIV-1 RNA Qualitative test 5 week post exposure. I followed up with an HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibody test at 6 weeks post exposure. Both the antibody and the HIV RNA results were negative. Can I assume that I do not have HIV or should I follow up with further testing?

Hello,unprotected vaginal sex with unknown partner is risky ,the incubation period of HIV is 2 weeks to 6 months so you need to test again in the interval of 3 months once ,if there is latent infection it may show positive later
