Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are a variety of disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract that can give the feeling of food stuck in the stomach. The condition is generally referred as “Stuck stomach”. The disorders of gastroesophageal reflux disease, diaphragm hernia, improper gastric emptying, gastroparesis and intestinal problems may cause “Stuck stomach”.

Most cases of the stuck stomach are treated with Antacids. You may ask your doctor to prescribe proton pump inhibitor (PPI) group medications (omeprazole, lansoprazole). You should take a PPI medicine at least 3 to 4 weeks along with lifestyle modifications and your condition should be evaluated again.

Try following lifestyle modifications: avoid foods that increase the acidity of your stomachs such as alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, chocolate, or any spicy food. Take more fresh fruits and vegetables and eat small quantities of food several times a day. Do regular exercises to improve digestive system functions which also help to empty of the bowel easily.

If you do not have any improvement in your condition after taking the medication along with lifestyle changes, you should be investigated with upper endoscopy to find out the underlying cause of your condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Malik Amonov
