How Should One Be On Testosterone Replacement Therapy?

Hi I have currently been on testosterone replacement therapy for 10 months... I went to an endocrinologist this past Friday...my endo did bloodwork and I told her or asked her did I really need to be on trt.. She asked me what my total test was before I got on trt 10 months ago... it was 383 and my lh and fsh both were 2.5... She told me that I didn t need any test that my baseline levels were not even low.. I was still having morning, spon, and nocturnal erections before trt..she couldn t believe that I was even put on test by a urologist.. she said I don t have a pituitary gland problem that its fine and I sont show a hormonal imbalance..she also said that if I stop everything that my test would go back up to 383 or higher and that if I worked out and ate right and walked that if may go even higher... I have been on trt for 10 months and I have done the cream and injections both.. I started doing hcg about 6 weeks ago... My question is the endo telling the truth.. She doesn t think I need to be on testosterone replacement.. Is she rite and could my body still produce this amount on its own and will lh and fsh go back up to 2.5

Hi
Thanks for consulting us.
Since you are on therapy for 10 months, your pituitary will take time to recover. I recommend gradual reduction in dose with FSH,LH measurement. You can go for stimulation test with Gn RH analog.Hopefully your pituitary gonadal axis will recover and you will not need replacement.
Hope you are satisfied. HCM shall be pleased to help you in future, too.
