If you also happen to be sexually active and would like protection against pregnancy, then you should use condoms for the next 7 days. You have mentioned that you take these pills because you have a cyst in your left ovary. It is worth-mentioning that recent studies have shown that contraceptive pills are not much effective in the resolution of functional cysts of the ovaries. Usually these cysts resolve by their own after few cycles. The only thing you need is ultrasonographic monitoring for the cyst.
