Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Should Chronic Diarrhea With Rectal Bleeding Be Treated?
When I wake up every morning I have to rush to have a bm. This happens around six times in a row. At first my stool is normal but around the third time it gets runny. My doctor gave me nexium but I don't have heart burn. There is blood in my stool.
The given symptoms could be due to diet, and it may not be any disease condition if this is not associated with any other symptoms like abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, or loss of appetite.
Such symptoms of diarrhea may not need any treatment, but it is the self-limiting condition, try to change the diet, if the symptoms persist then it can be managed with a single dose of tablet Secnidazole 1 G (Even after the changing the diet).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhussain
