How Should A Painful Preauricular Sinus With Oozing Pus Be Treated?

I have a painful, red and weeping pre-auricular sinus. I had a ruptured cyst removed from it a year ago. It has been constantly weeping pus since then. It is weeping through a wound rather than the original opening. This turns into a scab then that comes off accidentally and it weeps again. This goes on for months. I have had numerous different antibiotics. I have had it swabbed three times, all have come back with no infection. Please tell me what I can do.

Hello

The best solution in your case would be a surgical removal of the sinus , followed by a course of antibiotics. Please discuss this with your doctor. Please dont worry , once it is excised, you will be fine.

Thanks
