How Safe Is Taking Xanax For Anxiety?

I was just prescribed xanax to treat my anxiety. I've taken 2 .5 mg pills over the last 5 days. Last night I took one and this morning when I woke up I noticed under my armpits some kind of bruised color that fades into yellow. Under both armpits, and it's not sore to the touch so I know it's not a bruise. What could it be?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. In my experience xanax is perfectly safe for use in anxiety disorders. 2.5 mg is almost negligible. It may not have any side effects in skin but definitely such a condition changes person to person. I request you to kindly review with your psychiatrist and get his expert opinion. Work with your psychiatrist for cure.
