Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have family history of thyroid cancer. It definitely increase the risk of thyroid cancer but it depends on type of cancer. Medullary carcinoma of thyroid is familial condition. Papillary carcinoma has only slight increase the risk.
You should check your thyroid once in a year. Take adequate iodine in your diet and avoid radiation. Because low iodine and radiation increase the risk of cancer further. Don't worry much about thyroid cancer. just be relaxed.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
