How Much Solid Food Should I Feed Four Month Baby?
Hi I am planning on starting my 4+ months daughter on solid foods such as cerelac rice cereal(6-12 months). My question is how much should I feed her in the beginning?I ve heard starting on 1 tbsp. How much water should I mix in it then? And should I mix it in water or formula? The tin says water but I ve heard other moms mixing it in breast milk/formula.
Hi ,
Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern.
Please do not feed cerelac at 4 months.
Weaning food should be given after six months of age.Till then breast feed your child.
Kindly wean your child with home made food after 6months.
When using these products follow their instructions.
If you have any further queries you are free to consult me.Hope this answers your query.Wishing your child a speedy recovery.Have a nice day.
Hi
Thanks for your query.
I suggest you not to start cerelac at 4 months of age.
Babies should be exclusively breastfed till 6 months of age and complementary feeding is started after that which includes rice water, boiled pulses water, vegetable soup all one by one in small quantity.
Semisolids like cerelac are introduced later.
Instruction given of these foods should be followed.
Wishing your baby good health.
God bless.
