dear madam, my wife is carrying and at 8th month last week now. She is prescribed with Iron tablets every day since her conception.During first trimester she was given progesterone tablets. Her Iron level was at 10.5 during 3rd month. Vomitings started at 3rd month and lasted till 5 th month. Might due to vomitings her iron level went down to 9.0 at 6th month. As the vomitings stopped, by 7th month her iron level came back to 10.5 and now her iron level has again decreased to 9.5. She is having gastric problem now & then hence She used omez 20mg now & then. She used to drink milk after taking iron tablet. Did this cause her iron level to go down. Apart from the tablets she is taking home made groundnut burfy(grind groundnut mixed with jaggery), pomegranate, protein powder, orange juice, dry grapes (around 25) every day. She has been advised to take autrin tablets now , one in the morning before brushing teeth, and one in the evening. Autrin is causing vomiting. what should she do now? I read from internet and found that vomiting sensation can be avoided by taking vitamin C along with Iron tablets. Shall she take orange juice after taking iron tablet to reducing vomiting sensation? During her 7th month she had allergy. She felt very itching and developed hives. she has been treated for this with cetrizine. Was this due to Iron tablets? Can she take omez 20 tablets if she gets acidity? As she is approaching 9th month , how can she improve her iron levels if she has these problems? please advise us. Please pardon me for such a lengthy question. thanks & regards, Venkat.

My 2 year old son has a hemoglobin level of 9.1 and his platelet count is high but not sure of number. Something in his urine also showed an issue with his kidneys. The past 2-3 weeks he has had very excessive thirst and urinating very frequently. Pcp has referred him to a pediatric nephrologist. Is there anything I can do to help him before this appointment. Also how soon should he be seen if the appointment isn't very soon?
The right lower limb is noticeably shorter than the left. The right limb is externally rotated, and the patient is unable to change the limb s position without considerable pain. On palpation, the groin region is tender, but no swelling is obvious. Passive movement of the hip causes extreme pain, especially upon external and internal rotation. WBC is 20 Hemoglobin (Hgb) is 9.8 what is is?
