Hi Moulisa
Thanks for posting your query on healthcaremagic
Moulisa liposuction is not a modality for weight loss , it is for contouring your body curves.
You may have a weight loss anywhere between the 5 kg to 10 kg varying from person to person and the kind of fat distribution you have, but that is not the primary objective of liposuction

Weight gain can be due to several reasons which may be physiological or pathological.
Ill suggest is that you should join a gym or start cardio training with a consultation with your dietitian to tell your daily caloric requirement and the exact diet you need to follow.
Once you follow this regime and have a static weight for 3 to 6 months ...go in for Liposuction. This should be very clear to you that Liposuction is not an alternative to weight loss.It is a body contouring option using which we can remove excess fat from all contours including abdomen , thighs , calves , arms , breasts , face ,chin , buttocks. In megaliposuction more than 10 % of body weight fat is removed which we do is upto 18 - 22 litres as well depending upon the distribution of fat .
There is no short cut to weight loss or body contouring .If we think we can get liposuction or Laser or any slimming mechanically and dont keep a track of diet and exercise then its not permanent .The results will be very short lived .
Liposuction is of various kinds e.g. UAL Ultrasonic assisted liposuction or VASER , Laser lipolysis , power assisted PAL , SAL suction assisted liposuction and many more but in almost all it is usually done with tumescence these days in which we inject fluid solutions mixed with drugs into the sub-cutaneuos fatty layer of skin and then break the fat with cannulas and then suction it out .Post surgery compression garments are to be worn for atleast 6 weeks and tissue edema or swelling takes time for final result to show in 6 weeks to 9 months varying from individual to individual.
Usually even with liposuction a weight loss of 5 to 10 kgs does occur but its not the aim of surgery. The aim is body contouring .The cost of megaliposuction is usually 75000 - Rs 1.5 lack depending upon the number of sites to be liposuctioned , usually it is 30000 to 70000 per body part.
I hope i have answered to all your queries
If you have any further doubts feel free to post again
God Bless
