How Long Would Poison Stay In The System And Will It Show Up In The Toxicology Tests?
I believe that I was poisoned on a Friday by ingesting it. It has now been 5 days since and I am trying to get an appointment with a toxicologist which probably won't happened until 7-10 days after the incident. How long does poison stay in the system and will it show up in the toxicology tests?

There are many types of poison and it is difficult to say how long a poison will stay without knowing the suspicious chemicals contained in the poison.
Some poisons are very short acting and are eliminated in a few hours while some may stay in the body for days to months.
Most poisonous substances are excreted by liver or kidney is it might help if you could provide some more information on the poison you have ingested.
