How Long Will The Bleeding Continue?

I am 37. I have 2 children. I had my tubes tied 8 years ago. My periods are regular. I haven't missed one. I started my period on Jan 1 this year. It was normal. I stopped on Jan 6. On Jan 8th I started spotting light brown. On Jan 19th I had a fair amount of bright red bleeding with a rather large clot. It was late in the evening so I went to ER. I found out I am not anemic or pregnant. The Dr did a pelvic examine and felt I side with his fingers. He said I should stop bleeding in a few days. That it was probably hormonal. I am still spotting light brown today Jan 25. I have had only mild cramping on occasion. No other symptoms. Should I be concerned? How long is too long to let this continue? I am due to start my next period in about a week.

I really appreciate your concern, you have to wait for few days this is common phenomenon and this comes around without any medicine but it takes little more time to come around and no need to worry about this, at the most you can try vitamin c this will helps, take care and stop worrying, have nice day.
