How Long Will Metformin Take To Balance My Hormones?

Hi, am 28 years old and am having hormonal problems. Have been seeing a gynecologist and has now recommended microgynon ed to be taken with metformin for 3 months. Question is how long will it take to balance my hormones so that i can ovulate normally and then concieve?

Usually it starts shows effect in 3 months, but most of women still have to take that for 6-9 months and even more. It acts better in obese women and aids in conception.there are no side effects to the baby if conception occurs while still on metformin. Good luck and all the best.
