How Long Will It Take To Reduce The Pain Using Antibiotics For Pericoronitis?

Hi there, I have pericoronitis and was prescribed amoxicillan 500 mg 3 times daily 4 days ago. I don't feel much better at all and have been taking quite a bit of advil to deal with the pain. Can you tell me how long it will take until the antibiotics start to work? Thank you very much!

Hello,
Actually in case of pericoronitis, you have to start with antibiotic and analgesics, for at-least 5 to 7 days. But this is not the permanent treatment as you have to go for surgical removal of flap that is causing this infection.
Hope it will help you
