How Long Will It Take To Recover Post Drainage Surgery For Liver Abscess?

My father, aged 94, is diagnosis with Liver abscess. 3 pus are found. Operation has performed to drain the pus. Attending doctor told us that need to do the drainage step by step and take 2 weeks to extract the next one. Is is possible that he can return home after the drainage surgery?

Hi, any liver abcess if its large ,needs to be drained surgically and even after surgery it will require 15 to 20 days for ICD to get removed,it also depends on how antibiotics are working. Be impatien if surgery has done with strict asepsis your father will be recover soon.
