How Long To Effects Of Nicotine Patch Last In Body?

Hi.my sister was put on smoking patches.she was prescribed the 21mg patch which was to much nicotine for her.as a result she has been getting heart flutters and wants to know how long the nicotine will take to come out her system to see if the flutters will stop?

Doctors always start with 21 mg patch if weight is > 100 lbs.
If
Nicotine patch therapy must be given for only 10 weeks otherwise it causes dependency means it becomes a habit to take it.
21 mg/day should be given for 6 weeks, then 14 mg/day should be given for 2 weeks, then 7 mg/day for 2 weeks.
Don't smoke in between or when the patch is not there.
If irritation or allergy at night, remove it and apply on next day morning.
Don't apply 2 patches same day.
