How Long Should One Wait A Repeat PPD Test?

Hi doctor! I always get a negative result on my PPD, but this time I got a positive result. My job wants me to take the treatment ( isoniazid 300gm and vitamin b6) I am scared and I feel like I should get the PPD test again before I take the 9month treatment, How long should I wait to get it done again?

Hello, Thnx to contact us. If I am your treating doctor I would like to advice you that to frequent ppd test will cause your negative results to be convert into positive one. Your positive result may be because of this frequent ppd. Basic principle of PPD is the hypersensitivity to tuberculous protein. So if you do PPD again it will cause a PPD positive again.
