Hi,

Noted your history about suffering from tonsillitis and prescribed oral penicillin, although there is improvement there is no cure at the moment and only 5 doses taken and remains for 2 doses.
Surely yes, you should continue the same medicines if you have been shown to have proper clinical response.
But you must consult a Doctor as you will need to have a review, some investigations if needed and have valid written prescription.
You may also add on an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen, multivitamins and mouth wash for gargling too.
Take plenty of oral fluids, sips of water frequently
Take rest as it helps early and proper recovery.
Further management as per the clinical response, lab tests and you have to take medicines till fully cured.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
