Hello dear
Understand your concern
PCOS is due to hormonal imbalance due to ovary dysfunction.
Course of disease is very irregular and unpredictable.
No such duration of treatment.
It varies from person to person to regularize period
Main aim of metformin treatment is regularize the cycle, maintain glucose homeostasis and induction of ovulation.

Along with treatment start reducing the weight that help in regulation of periods.
And do all full hormone analysis: LH, FSH, SHBG, Prolactin, E2 ,P, Hcg, DHEAS, Tetosterone
All this help in management and treatment of PCOS

Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
