How Long She Needs To Continue Medicines For Complete Recovery?
My mother age 54 yrs/f have gone through open surgery for stone in left kidney and pyloplasty on evening 13.10.11 and suddenly after 3 day s to surgery acute infarct occurs on 16.10.11 causes right side weakness .prescribed medicines are clavix 75 ,atorva 40 for 1month and now from 2 week s dose slash to 20 mg , neurokind gold ,adminta .presently his speech and hand. is 80% ok . how more the medicine continue and his speech and hand work properly.

Central nervous system infarct is cause by the embolus, a piece of blood clot. Prognosis of the disease depends on the area of infarct and the time of intervention. Clavix 75, Clopidogrel is an anti-platelet drug which acts as an blood thinning agent which prevents further clot formation.
Atorvastatin is anti-lipidemic drugs come under HMG Co-A reductase enzyme inhibitors. Fat is the most common cause for clot formation. Admenta, memantine prevents worsening of the condition and better brain functions. Nerokind gold is a multivitamin tablet. Depends on the diet and proper physiotherapy, the weakness of the limbs get improved within three to six months. Continue the Clavix and Atorvastatin statin tablets to prevent any future similar events. Balanced diet should be provided.
