How Long Is The Recovery Time For A Medical Abortion?

Hi i have an ectopic pregnancy of 6 weeks and have given methotrexate one shot my beta hcg level was 947 b4 and after the first shot of methotrexate it rised to 1404 is it safe to take a discharge from hospital andrest at home because financialy i cannot afford to stay at hospital ithas been already 4 days but i am feeling ok no loose motion no nausea no vomiting no fever nothing and i live near by the hospital so can i take disharge and rest at home

Recovery time for a medical abortion is around 3 to 4 days. If there is no bleeding, pain, fever, painful urination then there is nothing to worry about that. You can undergo vaginal examination and USG scan. If any more product of pregnancy left in uterus, you can rest at home. Follow up visit at 7th day and USG scan at 14th is advisable for safe practice. So you can request your doctor for discharge.

Take proper medicine for pain and infection provided by your doctor. Take rest, maintain proper pelvic hygiene, eat healthy diet, drink plenty of water.
