General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection.
The redness in the throat can last for one week or two.
I suggest to gargle with salty water.
I also recommend to use anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen .

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
