How Long Does Pain In The Neck After An Electric Shock Persist?

about 2 weeks ago i was welding aluminum and was shocked when my left hand that was holding the filler aluminum rod grounded out and i was shocked for about 2 seconds with AC current in high range and suffered this injury. The pain started in my neck on the left side and worked its way down my left arm to my hand and still remains after 2 weeks, it seems to be somewhat better than it was a week ago when the pain would wake me from sleep. How much longer should I expect the pain to linger around for before seeking a neurologist? I say neurologist because i think there is nerve damage, but im not a doctor.

HI
Well come to HCM
Your concern is appreciated, electric shock it is the current ran through the skin, muscular fibers vascular system, nerve system and it is kind of thermal injury, it may not cause the nerve injury it is very less likely, but it course the thermal injury to muscle mass, as it is the thermal injury would take some time for healing, and it is nothing to worry, if the nerve damage is suspected then nerve conduction test is the option to rule this out, hope this information helps.
