How Long Does Pain Due To Shingles Take To Get Cured?
I have shingles. The rash is now mostly dried sores but I still have a few blisters. The rash is on the right side of my back and reaches around to my right breast. I do not have any spots in my armpit but I do have some swelling and an awful pain there. I'd like to know when I can expect the pain to go so I can go back to work.

1. most cases of shingles last for 3-5 weeks and mainly affects the nerve roots and the pain can last for months [post herpetic neuralgia] and is more of a physiological stress and are more likely to develop personality disorder and other bodily complaints.
2. One can ask for first-line treatments for the same which include lidocaine patch, pregabalin, gabapentin, capsaicin cream, carbamazepine, tricyclic antidepressants, and painkillers
