Crystal meth has a half life of 6-12hrs after which metabolism starts, takes about 72hours for elimination from body. Your friend's condition is called prenatal methamphetamine exposure which in turn will affect the growing fetus resulting in congenital anomalies, premature delivery and even hemorrhage in the baby. But how was the meth detected in the fetus or was it the mother who underwent urine test for drug abuse?
