How Long Does It Take For A Fever To Go Down?

My wife has taken meftal forte with azithral.She took cepodem in the morning and has been prescribed ceoidem twice a day alongwith Azithral.But the fever is not coming down.Also she is feeling like vomitting and unable to eat food.Please suggest which of these medicines we should stop.

You mentioned in the query that your wife is taking( mefanamic 500 mg+paracetamol 325 mg),azithromycin + cefpodozime twice in day but you didn't mention the duration of treatment .
Nausea ( vomiting ) anorexia are due to the side effects of these drugs as all these drugs causes hyper acidity so either take antacid syrup ( if oxetacaine then the best ,because of local anesthetic effect provide instant relief in nausea or vomiting).
As you mentioned that in spite of these medicines , still fever present ,so please consult your treating doctor or else consult another physician for establishment of diagnosis .
Fever may be due to , malaria, viral , typhoid fever , flu , jaundice , if from very long period may be due to tuberculosis .
In my opinion consult one more physician and get his opinion ( 2nd one).
