How Long Does It Take A Stress Fracture In The Rib To Heal?

I have a fractured rib - I believe it to be a stress fracture as I don t recall any injury, and it occurred when I was bending over to reach for something. It has been 16 weeks since the fracture and I can still feel it moving at times. Bone density is good, and no other symptoms. How long should this take to be healed?

Hello
These fractures usually fully heal in about six weeks. If after 16 weeks it's still giving you a problem, you need another chest x-ray to make sure it hasn't refractured itself
