In case of dog bite the the vaccination and further treatment depends on category of the bite
The categories are
Cat 1- licking with no breach in skin
Cat 2- Superficial skin bite with oozing of blood
Cat 3-Bite with deep skin involvement and bite over face and extremities
For cat 3 bite if the vaccination has been done previously then ARS may be given with two doses of vaccine
For Car 2 only two doses of vaccination for second bite
