Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How long should it take for norethindrone to completely leave your system? I took 4 pills before stopping because I believe I was having an allergic reaction. The pharmacist said it would take about 24 hours from taking the last pill. That 24 hour mark was about 10 hours ago and I still feel lousy. My sleep has been erratic because I had the flu just before that, so I m not sure if that has something to do with it. This morning - after not sleeping all night, and only having an hour or so of a nap at about 10pm - I started feeling like my throat was getting tight. So I called the pharmacist who recommended I take Benadryl. I did and it helped. And then I slept for about 9 hours. Is this normal? Should I start feeling normal in a day or so? Thanks!
I think Norethisterone takes 24 hours to clear from the body. Benadryl is antihistamine help but together with corticosteroids and in this case administered intravenously. In this case of breathing problems maybe adrenaline is needed. Better go to the emergency room for the administration of them than talking to the pharmacist. Keep yourself in observation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
