How Long Does Nicotine Take To Get Out Of The System?

I m going to have a drug and nicotine screening for my new job at a hospital. I quit smoking 3 days ago and my test will be within the next 10 days. How long does it take nicotine to get out of your system? Or how long until I pass my nicotine urine test?

The length of time for a nicotine test to come positive depends on the amount of tobacco taken, the duration of smoking,the individual's system/age and the type of nicotine test to be performed.It may be as short as 2 days and as long as 3months.For a blood test, nicotine or its metabolite can be tested.If nicotine, it can be negative after about 3 days but if its metabolite(cotinine), it may take up to 10 days.
For a urine test, nicotine and it metabolite may be detectable only for 3 to 4 days.I will advise you avoid smoking till you take the test.The test will surely be negative.
