How Long Does Nicotine Remain In The System?

Hi, I have a drug test tomorrow. I stupidly just took one hit of a e-cig with nicotine in it. I never smoke or vape just took one hit of my sister’s to try it. Should I pass if I hit it at 5 pm and have a test at 3 pm tomorrow. The hit was small and was just one and the last time I smoked anything before that was about 8 months ago.

depends entirely on the sensitivity of the test. They test for a nicotine breakdown product which has half of it go away in about 12 hrs. and about 3/4 of it going away in a day. Generally, they do not want second hand smoke to be detected so they put the positive value above one entire cigarette's worth of nicotine which is about 10 fold higher or even higher than what you are likely to have. If they test for literally ANY, they will find it. if they test for actually smoking (> 5 cigarettes a day) then no.
