How Long Does MMR Vaccination Take To Improve The Immunity Against Measles?

: Hi my name is Cristina and I have a question about the MMR vaccine. I got the MMR vaccine on April 28 and then did blood work to check for immunity and I was immune to rubella and mumps but not measles, so I got the second MMR on June 1st and I was wondering if I would be immune to measles now?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Doing only one round of MMR can't give you full immunity. I think you should get re-vaccinated at least for three or five rounds in order to be immune to it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
