Hi,

Why do you want to wean her off Clonidine? Aggression and nightmares are some of the known side effects of Clonidine. The dosage should be decreased or increased under guidance of your doctor. In her case, she may actually need an increased dose for the maximum effect. Any titration of dose, addition / change of any medicine should be done according to instructions of your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
