How Long Do Bruised Toes Take To Alleviate?

MY HUSBAND TOOK A FALL & ORIGINALLY HIS ANKLE WAS TWISTED BUT NOT BROKEN. wE USED ICE CONSTANTLY & NOW HIS ANKLE DOES NOT HURT. but he HAS 3 BRUISED TOES THAT WE VE BEEN ICING & NOW HE REALLY LIMPS & THEY ARE BOTHERING HIM - WE DON T THINK HE HAS BROKEN TOES.

hello there, if it's only a bruise, it'll approximately take 2 weeks to normalize. To reduce the discomfort, you can soak the affected area in warm water for 15-30 min daily. And the ankle injury you have mentioned, may be a fracture or could be ligament sprain, so it's better if you get an x Ray or MRI done to be sure if your husband is suffering from the discomfort and pain. sprain takes approx three months to heal, but duration varies depending on the severity of injury.
Healthy food affects healing process too, especially vit c rich food like citrous fruits(lemon, goosberry, orange etc).
