How Long Can One Take This Dosage Of Ambien For Sleep?

I HAD BEEN TAKING AMBIEN FOR SLEEP, I WAS GIVEN 5MG. WHICH DIDN T PUT ME TO SLEEP SO I INCREASED MY DOSAGE TO 10 MG. NEEDLESS TO SAY MY PRESCRIPTION ONLY LASTED HALF AS I LONG.NOW MY DOCTOR WAS GONE TO A SEMINAR SINCE THURS (feb.22nd) to be retuning today (feb.26th).I CONTACTED THE CTR. TODAY TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF & TO NO AVAIL...NO RETURN CALLS (DR.,RECEPTIONIST & NURSE ON STAFF_) THE LAST 4 DAYS I CAN T SLEEP PROBABLY 8 HRS. ALL TOGETHER IN THESE DOCTORLESS DAYS.I M HANGING FROM A THREAD HERE. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Ambien can be taken for a long time, several months, when really necessary, so given that you are finding it impossible to sleep without it it can be used. However regarding the prescription I am afraid you can't get a prescription here as we can't release online prescriptions, will have to wait for your doctor or see another one.
