General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

For weight gain, using of Practin is valid but only for short duration of 3 to 4 months and not more than 1 year and Dexona is corticosteroid which is not recommended for the purpose of gaining weight.

The chronic use of it has many side effects including immune suppression and skin thinning. So practically speaking both medicines are not recommended for the much longer duration. My advice is to stop both medicines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
