Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Celexa contains 'Citalopram', which is an antidepressant drug belonging to the class of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRIs). It is used to treat major depression. Lorazepam belongs to group of drugs called 'benzodiazepines' and is used to treat anxiety disorders. Use of these drugs should be monitored constantly and is not advisable to continue for long. After monitoring its effects, the dosage needs to be adjusted and tapered so that it could be weaned off over a period of time. Along with these drugs, additional therapy such as psychotherapy, behavioural therapy and psychological counselling needs to be done, to get the desired outcome. Kindly consult Psychiatrist in this regard for proper evaluation and advise. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
