How Long After A Cortisone Shot Can A Testosterone Level Test Be Done?
I had a cortisone shot today for upper arm pain. I also have a doctor s order for lab tests prior to an office visit...including a testosterone level test. How long need I wait after the cortisone shot to get the blood draw for the testosterone test? I wouldn t want the cortisone to influence the testosterone assay.

Cortisone does not affect the testosterone levels of the body. You can draw blood for testosterone assay irrespective of cortisone shot.
