Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I removed my iud on the 8th of January, I ve had it for 10 yrs and I realized I wanted another baby before I got to old. So on the 20 of January I had intercourse and the 24 I thought I started my period. It wasn t normal like a period, it was only when I wiped lite pink no red. It lasted for 5 days, when and how will I know when I ovulate ?
It is decent on a total cycle day. There are two phases, follicular phase and luteal phase. The 2nd phase occurs during a fixed 14 days before the next period.
You should subtract 14 from the total cycle to get your ovulation date. For example if you have a 28 day cycle your ovulation will occur on day 14; if your cycle is 21 days, ovulation will occur on the 8th day.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
