My father fell about a month ago and hit his head on the ice. He was taken to the hospital and given a ct scan which showed no trauma but did show a mass in his face which went un reported. Fast forward a few weeks and head aches started as well as swelling and his doctor told him he had a infection but did not run tests. This lasted another week or so before I pressed the issue for him to be seen again by a ENT doctor who immediately ordered another ct scan again showing the mass but bigger now. He had a biopsy which showed non Hodgkin s lymphoma followed by a PET scan which showed it in his joints as well. I guess my question is how fast does this type of cancer spread? I m concerned with time lost for treatment due to the first ct scan not being reported.
