How Effective Is Unwanted 72 In Preventing Pregnancy?

Hello doctor..i had unprotected sex with my gf on 17th july.her expected period date is 28th july.although she took an unwanted 72 with in 2 hours.all i want to know is that what are the chances of pregnancy if u have sex closer to your period date and is there any chance that she might get her periods this time but misses her period next time.

Hello welcome to HCM. As she has taken unwanted 72 , definetely she will have periods. 100% she is safe, but the periods flow may not like the earlier periods. Coming to your other doubts , having sex closure to periods, means 4 days before and 4 days after there is very least chances of becoming pregnancy. It is considered safe period. For your next question, Once the periods happens it washes out everything whatever is there inside.So when nothing is there, then there is no chance of pregnancy.
