How Effective Is Chloroquine And Primaquine For Malaria ?
My mother in law was diagnosed with malaria recently, and she finished chloroquine and primaquine tablets dose two days back. She has become very weak and does not eat much. I give her ensure drink daily. What should she do to gain strength? She has to travel back to India in two weeks.

It depends on the type of alarial parasite. Chloroquine and primaquine are excellent drugs for vivax malaria but not so good for falciparum malaria.
It is common after malarial fever for persons to become weak and anorexic. It usually resolves in a week or two. you can continue ensure drink daily, and she should be fine soon.
