How Early Can A Doctor Feel A Pregnancy During Internal Examination ?

I was recently examined internally prior to having Mirena coil fitted and have started to worry I may have been pregnant at the time of insertion (I will do a test today in any case). However, is that part of the internal exam? To make sure I m definitely not pregnant? How early can a doctor tell this?

Welcome to Healthcare Magic
Internal examination can detect pregnancy as early as 6 weeks. But you must remember if you were menstruating normally, then you weren't pregnant. The Internal examination would have been done to assess any nearby swellings or masses which could contraindicate the insertion of the Mirena if you haven't taken ultrasound. Either way, a Pregnancy test will put you at ease.
