How Does Smoking Affect Post Quadruple Bypass Surgery?

Hi,just wanted to know i had quadruple bypass surgery in jan 2012 ,im 47 now ,i started smoking pot a year after surgery, i take hbp med and metropolol for the heart,actually pot helps lower my blood pressure, but just still have that thought in my mine should i stop.thanks

Smoking is considered to be hazardous, particularly after undergoing quadruple bypass surgery.
You need to quit the habit completely as nicotine entering the body by smoking would induce coronary artery spasm, which can precipitate angina pectoris and myocardial infarction.
Kindly quit the habit completely and continue to take medications and do follow-up as advised.
