Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The regimen recommended by your doctor is correct. The drug mifepristone acts as an antiprogesterone agent.
It doesn't cause bleeding but helps in abortion later when zitotec is taken. Zitotec should be taken after 48 hours and it causes pain and cramps like menstrual cycles and abortion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyashree.B
