How Does Excessive Wine Consumption Contribute To Heart Disease?
I frequently read heart related health articles and while the authors (mainly physicians) state that drinking more than 2 drinks (10 oz. of red wine) per day is bad for heart health, they never expand on how drinking more than the recommended amount above, actually does contribute to heart disease. Could you please explain this further? Thank You!
1-2 glasses of wine a day have consistently been shown to be associated with LOWER risk of heart disease. Very large amounts of alcohol (5 glasses.. 10 glasses ?) can be a poison to the heart. Technically 50 glasses is more than 2..... (yes, I am being a bit silly, but 3to 4 glasses that's about 1 bottle is just not very likely to be that dangerous to the heart, even daily).
