Hi,

I can understand your concern. However, I do not understand the reason behind your inferiority complex. Is it body built, financial issue, social skills or anything else? What I believe is nobody in this world is perfect in all the areas including you and me. If you lack in one or two things, you sure would be superior in other things. The same is true for the people who you feel are superior to you. There is no need to feel disappointed by yourself. Do not compare yourself constantly with others in qualities that you lack. Rather, see what you have that others don't and feel good about that.

I am sorry but I also feel unable to understand your specific separation anxiety. Do you want to say that you do not feel to go away from home? If that is the case, then that might be because you have made your home and family your protective shell and you feel unprotected and unsecured when you leave them. Trust me, success reaches you only when you step out of your comfortable zone. I understand it is not easy to be away from home but sure it is not impossible. You can call home when you want. You can also visit in the middle of the course. Dropping out of one course after another will ruin your career and future and you will regret your current issues for lifetime. If for not studies then to make career or earn money, you will have to separate from home and family one day or another.

Still, if you feel you are unable to cope with the situation, you can consult a mental health professional or psychiatrist. He/she might give you counselling sessions and can also prescribe you medicines if they will feel you need them to resolve the anxiety issues. It is not uncommon what you feel. Many people have anxiety issues, but with counselling, medicines and self-help, they do pass them and live normal fearless life.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthCareMagic. Good luck for your studies and all future endeavors. Do seek us out if you feel the need. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
